The Scott County Auditor’s website is full of useful information.
We have attempted to summarize the high points for you below, so you can ensure you are able to vote for Diane on June 3rd.
One must register (or already be registered) to vote as a Republican, and vote in the Republican Primary, in order to Vote for the ONE for Scott County!
In the general election, one may be registered with any or no party in order to cast a vote for Diane Holst for Supervisor. If you are registered as something other than a Republican, you should be able to change your party affiliation at your polling location, the day of the primary vote in order to obtain a Republican ballot. (You will not get to vote in any other primary then.) As of April 5, 2014 this has not been verified, but will be soon.
One can register to vote ahead of time, or on the day of election at the polling place for your precinct. More info on http://www.scottcountyiowa.com/auditor/vtrapplication.php

I’ve completed my absentee ballot. When does is have to be turned in?
Your absentee ballot must be turned in at your county Auditor’s Office before the polls close on Election Day.
I’ve completed my absentee ballot, can I take it to my polling place and drop it off?
No, your completed absentee ballot must be delivered to the auditor’s office before polls close on Election Day. If you prefer, you can surrender your absentee ballot and vote a regular ballot at your polling place on election day.
I’ve filled out my absentee ballot and put it in the mail. Since it won’t get to the auditor’s office today, can I vote at my polling place?
As long as the absentee ballot is postmarked no later than the day before Election Day and it arrives at the Auditor’s Office before the official canvas, your ballot will be counted
Deadline for the request for an absentee ballot is the Friday before election day.
It must be at the Auditor’s office on Friday, the ballot sent out that day, and then it’s the responsibility of the voter to either deliver it to the Auditor’s office before the polls close on Election day or have it postmarked the day before Election Day.
